 Server slowdown |

The Server has been pathetically slow for the last month or two... maybe longer?
there was a problem with the mysql server alias which eluded us even through an sql server move! 
A case of too many geeks and nobody around to check to see if the power was plugged in  |

| New Registrations Disabled |

New registrations have been disabled in the forums and I will begin removing all Zero and one post members to reduce the size of the member tables.
The EyecandyXP forums are here as an archive of my work and since I am not actively customizing and creating visual styles there is no reason to allow new members as It forces me to come in and prune out all the spam users and posts.

We had a flakey table in the database for the download section. I'm not sure how long its been that way but thanks goes to Kerratos who pointed it out and my near godlike ability to speak sql (no not really!) it's back up and running ... I think

I want to thank everyone who continues to check in here periodicly even though I have been on a rather long customizing break 
Rest assured that I will not abandon customizing but my attention has been elsewhere the last few months with real life taking most of my time.
I'll see you all in 2006!

Well Fall is here, people are requesting my fall wallpapers, I'm not likely to make a section for them on the site just yet, as they are photos taken by my father I will have to work out something with him.
I've been giving them out by request but I think It would be nice to have a section for some of his photos.
I'm about to go on vacation for a week or two, I'm going to follow the birds south to arizona for a while to visit friends, that would be friends of mine not the birds
When I get back I will officially grow roots in front of the computer again for the winter so I will likely get back to work with a new visual style!
I know the title is misleading, I just can't seem to get interested in Vista. I think a lot of it is I actually work on my computer now instead of just playing with it so I really don't have time for or interest in beta testing anymore.
I'll probably suffer for not being as familiar with the new OS before it comes out I'll have to have a marathon session with a late beta just to be familiar with it before I start getting support calls from customers but I don't think Ill be the keeper of "all that is Vista". besides my head is full of "all that is XP" Ill have to give it time to empty, theres still some "all that is 98" left in there
