Casio Duro 200

Model mdv-101d-2a

First Ill apologize I took the photos in the shade so I lost some detail but I wanted the blue color of the bezel and dial to show up.

This was a surprising find, I bought this impulsively on EBay just on appearance and out of curiosity.

It turns out that this is a very nice watch, I'm not sure what US retail is for this but by the time I paid for shipping it cost me $42.00. Yes it really is nice quality stainless steel, It really does have a screw down crown and screw back. the watch head is heavy! but the folded metal band keeps the total weight down. I consider folded metal bands to be "cheap" by today's standards when you could use solid link bracelets but actually they are still commonplace so I wont hold it against Casio.

Inside the watch I found a Citizen (Miyota) movement, Casio makes Digital watches silly!

I'm pretty sure its just a mineral glass crystal but down the road I can change it out for a harder sapphire crystal If I want to spend another $25.00 or $35.00 on this watch.

It would be nice to have a magnifing eye over the date since its very small and that I can add at any time for only a couple dollars and that will just about make the watch complete.

I had to open the watch and adjust the second hand to tick on the dial indicators instead of between them, this is something that really bothers me personally and a local jeweler can do this for you too if you have a watch that does the same.

All in all I really like this watch there's a lot of watch here for 42.00. I give this watch an Hour, Minute, and second hands up!
